Our labelsEVERY CASK DESERVES A UNIQUE LABEL

Inspired by the work of Charles Darwin and his close observation of nature, our labels are
designed to reflect our commitment to selectivity, cataloging and a thorough understanding
of the unique characteristics of every whisky we bottle.

ARCHIVES MORE THAN JUST A NAME

The name
At Whiskybase.com, thousands of whiskies are filed and form the whisky archives. We go to
great lengths to preserve the information of every bottling so feel free to open and savour
yours.
Numbered bottles
Our release are very limited and bottles are numbered individually.

Celebrating diversity of nature
The images we select for the front label are taken from illustrated natural histories dating from the 19th and early-20th centuries.
An Artisanal Product
Every label is hand-torn and then hand-applied to each bottle before shipping. This process
of course takes longer and more concentration, but it also allows us to ensure the product is
hand-crafted and of exceptional quality from beginning to end.
The Fishes of Samoa

World wide releasesTHE FISHES OF SAMOA

After the initial release with black labels we turned to Fishes. For our world-wide releases we use the Fishes of Samoa as the standard label.

For specific releases like Springbank, Speyside region or Littlemill we have additional labels including sea stars, crabs and seashells.

Taiwan regionTHE BIRDS FROM THE ORIENT

Taiwan was our first area to explore with new species. We choose birds as a starting point and we are building on that. The birds from the orient can be found in Taiwan, mainland China and Hong Kong. You might spot some in the wild as well.

Japanese releasesGUIDE TO THE GALLERY OF REPTILES

For Japan we chose some more unusual rare creatures. Reptiles are not as common in natural history illustrations and our options for labels are limited. But that suits these releases well as Japanese bottlings are rare. So don’t expect a large collection of reptiles. It might be difficult to find these bottles but if you search hard enough, you might be lucky.

USA releasesBUTTERFLIES

Our latest range are the butterflies, only to be found in the USA. With many variations in color and diversity within this group of insects we are set for a new adventure.
